Finder Amplifiers (discussion)
Does any experienced miner have some good in depth info about how amps work?
All I know is that you tend to find less, but larger deposits while using them, so that it makes a lot of sense to use them when using a good finder to get larger amounts of rare ore/enmatter, but is there some sort of 'trick' to them that I might've missed?

Im not that experienced in mining but have mined some with and without amps. In my experience they simply increase the size of your finds in the same ratio as the TT of bomb+amp. So if you would find a small worth 4 PED unamped, it would have been an avarage worth 6 PED with a 101, a medium worth 8 PED with a 102 and so on. I think you cant get a tiny with 102, if you can I am wrong .

ps. I will add columns for req level and profession later. Do amps also have a maxed level?

Nope, level when amp is maxed out is not specified, only req level, and skill progress in %.

Right, if there is anything on it that would be 'maxable' then it isn't in the stats at least.

And I meant that with the less deposits as I know from people who have used very big amps, that you only find very few deposits with them, so that you can use up several if you're very unlucky without a hit. But if you do find something it surely is lots bigger.

Columns are added. About the effect of amps, afaik what you discribe is the difference between Calypso and CND. But im not sure about it.
