The Longu is a large, primitive and bulky xenoanthropoid (full name "Longuxenosoid"). Although quite slow, its strong beak, enormous claws and thick armor make it a powerful, intimidating creature.
In Latin, "longus" means "long", probably due to its long nose. "Xeno" is from Greek meaning "a stranger, strange, without the knowledge of, new, unheard of". "Long nosed stranger".
