The specialized Kobold armor is not only good against brute force it also offers decent protection against more rare types of creatures.

With the stats skewed so heavily in favour of cold and impact protection, this armour would seem to be particularly suited to hunting Feffoid (Calypso) and Thorifoid Shaman, although Viking would be better against Thorifoid Shaman.
